    • Round-trip economy airfare for you and your adult guest to Kahului Airport (OGG) on program dates.

    • Ground transportation between the airport and the Ritz-Carlton on group travel dates (May 21 & May 25).

    • Four-night accommodations at the Ritz-Carlton (May 21–May 25).

    • All gratuities covered for baggage handling, housekeeping, and scheduled meals.

    • Daily breakfast with room credit (May 22–25).

    • Daily lunch with room credit (May 22–25).

    • Shoes: Dress sandals, loafers, or flats—keep it classy, but comfy.

Extending Your Stay

  • Not ready to say aloha (goodbye) just yet? If you’d like to extend your trip and soak up a few more days in paradise, you absolutely can! While DataStax is covering your trip dates, you’re welcome to alter or extend your travel plans—just keep in mind that any additional costs will be at your own expense.

    How Extensions Work

    • The Ritz-Carlton is offering the group rate for up to 3 days before or 3 after the official Club trip dates (pending availability).

    • Extensions are limited and approved at the discretion of the resort.

    • Any additional costs for airfare, extra hotel nights, transfers, or other expenses will be your responsibility.

  • 📅 During Registration:

    • Indicate your desired check-in and check-out dates in the registration form.

    • The travel team will check availability and notify the hotel on your behalf.

    📞 After Registration:

    • If your extension is approved, the registration team will contact you.

    • A credit card will be required to secure the additional nights.

    • Once a travel agent reaches out, you can fine-tune your plans based on availability and cost.

    Things to Keep in Mind

    • Provide as much detailed information as possible when registering to make the process smoother.

    • Any flight deviations, transportation, or extended hotel stays will be at your own expense.

    • Availability is limited, so request early to lock in your extra time in paradise!

Attendance & Participation

  • Attendance for the DataStaxer is mandatory for the following:

    • Welcome Reception – Wednesday | Kick off the trip with great food, drinks, and island vibes.

    • Merriman’s Dinner (Offsite) – Thursday | A night of elevated island dining with the group.

    • Community Service Activity (Onsite) – Friday | Give back to Maui and leave a lasting impact.

    • Farewell Reception – Saturday | Celebrate an incredible week together under the stars.

    • Chosen Activities & Adventures – Thursday & Saturday | These were selected during registration—time to enjoy what you signed up for!

  • Aside from these core events, the rest of your time is yours to enjoy as you wish. Take in the sights, relax by the pool, explore Maui, or join in on the optional activities throughout the week.

    • Attendees and their hosted guest must be able to attend the trip as scheduled.

    • No substitutions can be made in lieu of attending.

Bringing Your ʻOhana (Family)

  • Want to share the magic of Maui with your family? Keiki (children) are welcome to join you on this unforgettable trip! While all DataStax-hosted experiences are covered for you and your adult guest, any additional expenses, including flights and activities for children, will be the responsibility of each attendee. (Need help booking flights? Direct Travel is available to assist!)

    The Ritz-Carlton Maui offers a variety of engaging activities for children, so we encourage you to explore their website for family-friendly experiences. If you need childcare services for adults-only events, the hotel has recommended a trusted local childcare provider (though they do not have an on-site kids’ club).

Check-In & Check-Out

    • The resort will do its best to accommodate early check-in requests, but availability is not guaranteed.

    • If you arrive early and your room isn’t ready yet, drop your bags with the bell desk and start soaking up the island vibes!

    • Need a little extra time? The resort will try to accommodate late check-out requests, but it’s subject to availability.

    • If a late check-out isn’t possible, luggage storage is available so you can continue to enjoy the resort before heading to the airport.

  • ✔ Plan ahead if you have an early arrival or late departure.
    ✔ Use the resort amenities before check-in or after check-out to make the most of your last moments in Maui!
